The Wolf Guard with Terminator Armour

What Space Wolf Army would be complete, without it's Wolf Guard in full terminator armour. You can have a unit of 20 figures, and so far I have 13 painted for effect. I have to admit that I have a soft spot for these figures. I think they look great.

Space Wolves: Personality

I only have two of the available Space Wolves personalities for my collection. Who names these guys anyways?

Wolf Lord:  Ragnar Blackmane

Rune priest: Njal Stormcaller

Space Wolves: Long Fang Squad

More of my Space Wolf Warhammer 40K Army.

In a word, the Long Fangs serve as the long-ranged heavy weapon support unit of any Space Wolves army. I re-mounted them on larger metal washers earlier this year because I found the figures too top heavy.

" Fear God and Dread Nought"

As I already admitted, I have a dark secret. In years gone-by, I  played Warhammer 40K, and I still possess a Space Wolves Army. My addiction didn't stop there. Over the years I supported Games Workshop by discretely purchasing their miniatures for non-GW sanctioned games.  If that makes me a heretic, then heretic I am.

An early purchase was the Contemptor Class Dreadnought. It is difficult to find images of their early dreadnought models but I found two photos online. One reports to be a GW figure from 1987, and the other is an image from their 1991 catalogue. In my opinion both images clearly identify the figure I have. IMO it wasn't one of the workshops' more successful designs.

Below is an example of a really bad paint job, and I am the person responsible.

But the Contemptor does not stand alone. What Space Wolf army would be complete without Bjorn the Fell-Handed and a trusted Iron Priest to keep him running.

Space Pirates

I've had these figures for somewhere close to 20 or 25 years. I painted them up for a Traveller Campaign I was running at the time. I liked the look of the figures, and always thought of Flash Fearless vs the Zorg Women Parts 5 & 6 -Space Pirates when they were on the table.

Away Team

This is a small unit of seven that I used to game in a Traveller  RPG campaign. It served the function of an Away Team. In it there is a communications specialist (behind the science guy), as well as a science office shown with some sort of tricorder (front right).

The rest of the figures including one that vaguely looks like a member of the Vargr race are mainly muscle to protect the rest. For some reason I painted them in what I thought as an "UN baby blue" body armour.

I honestly have no idea what company produced these figures. Please let me know if you are able to identify them.
